Beauty therapy qualifications

There are various routes to qualification in beauty therapy, however it is important to ensure that the course you choose leads to a recognised qualification which is accepted nationally and internationally, if applicants wish to work abroad or overseas.

It is more usual to find that private beauty colleges offer the international beauty therapy examinations of CIDESCO and CIBTAC or ITEC. Whereas colleges of further education generally offer those of NVQ, HND, Edexcel, BTEC, SQA, C&G, and IHBC awards.
